We only process personal data of our users insofar as this is necessary for the provision of a functional website and our content and services. The legal bases for data processing are primarily derived from Art. 6 GDPR.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). When you visit our website, information is automatically transmitted to Vercel's servers, including:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a stable website). Vercel also processes data in the USA. Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Cookies and Functional Storage

We use a functionally necessary cookie called NEXT_LOCALE that stores your preferred language setting (German/English). This cookie has a lifespan of 1 year.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, as this cookie is technically necessary for displaying the website in the desired language.

5. Analytics and Tracking Tools

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The Tag Manager itself does not store any personal data but manages the integration of other services (e.g. Google Analytics). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse your usage behaviour on our website. The following data is collected:

  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Device and browser information
  • Approximate location (based on IP address)
  • Referrer (origin of visit)

Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise our offering). Your IP address is anonymised before storage. Data may be transferred to Google servers in the USA (EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

PostHog

We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA) for user behaviour analysis and product optimisation. PostHog collects:

  • Page views and clicks
  • Device information
  • Interactions with website elements (e.g. calculator)

Data is transmitted to PostHog via a proxy on our own domain (/ingest/). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Clicky

We use Clicky (Roxr Software Ltd) for real-time website traffic analysis. Clicky collects:

  • Page views and time spent
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Approximate location

Data is transmitted via a proxy on our own domain. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Vercel Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics (Vercel Inc.) to measure website performance and Core Web Vitals. This collects anonymised performance data that cannot be attributed to individual users. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contentsquare

We use Contentsquare (Contentsquare GmbH) to analyse user interaction and optimise the usability of our website. Contentsquare collects:

  • Mouse movements, clicks and scroll behaviour
  • Page views and navigation
  • Device and browser information

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in optimising our website).

6. Marketing and Conversion Tracking

LinkedIn Insight Tag

We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). This tool enables us to:

  • Track conversions for LinkedIn advertising campaigns
  • Retarget website visitors on LinkedIn
  • Analyse demographics of our website visitors

A cookie is set and a connection to LinkedIn servers is established. Your IP address is processed in this context. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data may be transferred to LinkedIn servers in the USA (EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
